Over a fortnight following the shocking loss of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

Writing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's beloved 1987 film *The Princess Bride*, explained he finally felt able to share openly about his profound loss.
"Sufficient time has elapsed that I can at last put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, noting that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began sharing more moments together I realized this was someone I wanted in my life."
The actor uploaded archival material from the production, remarking that he cannot recall "any day without laughter".
"This story is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob held dear. This is one of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes expressed.
He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "To say that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I recall you." He ended with a phrase from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."
Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade
In a distinct tribute, revered director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.
"Right away, I loved spending time with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.
Scorsese pointed out Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.
"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with the cast, and he grasped the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.
Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Sealed
Recently, a Los Angeles judge agreed to block the publication of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the Los Angeles Police Department.
A court order put a security hold on the files to restrict the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.
The coroner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the result of homicide, with a official listing listing the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".
