Trump's Granddaughter Seeks Expert Advice from Tiger Woods Before Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts considerable online audience
The young golfer will have plenty of prominent cheerleaders when she begins her first LPGA appearance later this week.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a tournament invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, someone who loves golf, possesses several golf courses and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I shouldn't elaborate but we play competitive games," she revealed.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, advised her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to go out there and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's quite busy."
While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments in 2024 and maintains the 461st position in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
But she's able to seek guidance from Tiger Woods, who is dating Vanessa.
"He is the greatest golfer worldwide," Kai expressed.
"Furthermore, he's an even better person. He suggested me to play, have fun, following the flow."
The golfer will compete against several the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, British Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA commented that her participation brings golf to new audiences, particularly with youth audiences.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and recently launched a personal fashion and living brand.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
