Two Men Face Charges Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Incident
Formal charges have been brought against two men related to a luggage theft where a believed to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.
These accusations come after an probe of an attack at the parking structure at Terminal 3 on the weekend. Prior to the attack, two female travelers had their suitcases stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A three-year-old girl was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals required hospital care and were later discharged.
This event – described by police as was not part of a series and deemed non-terroristic – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a brief period.
